NID Card Check

As a citizen of Bangladesh, the voter ID card is a very important identification document. The voter ID card, also known as the national identity card, serves as a document for citizens to enjoy government and private citizenship services.

Let’s first know how to check if your NID is ready after you have registered as a new voter.

NID Number Check with SMS

To check your NID card as a new voter, send a message to 105 from your mobile phone with the following format: NID [space] Form Number [space] DD-MM-YYYY. The reply message will inform you if your NID card is ready and will provide your NID number.

If you have recently applied to vote but have not yet received your NID card number, you can check your voter ID card by SMS. You can also use your Smart NID card number for various purposes.

Check New and Old NID Card

Check NID Card with Name & Address

To verify your national identity card with name and address, visit ldtax.gov.bd. Then, from the “নাগরিক নিবন্ধন” option, enter your mobile number, national identity card number, and date of birth to proceed to the next step. Verify your account using the OTP that comes to your mobile number. Then, you can Check your national identity card information by logging in to your Profile.

To verify your national identity card with only your name, parent’s names, and address, follow these steps:

1. Visit ldtax.gov.bd and click on the “নাগরিক কর্ণার”
2. Enter your active mobile number, national identity card number, and select your date of birth.
3. Verify your account using the OTP that comes to your mobile phone.
4. Login to your profile.

Although this method is used to allow you to see information including your picture, you can now only see your name and address. This has been discontinued by the Election Commission for reasons of personal security.
